Jessica Wilson

Jessica Wilson’s (born in 1991 in New York City, USA. Lives in Amsterdam and NYC) work occupies a space where computer-generated animation and sculptural installation are treated as a sophisticated interrogation of the somatic and material effects of virtual systems, moving away from hyperreal spectacle toward an awkward, haptic sensitivity to human inexactitude. She is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice is deeply rooted in the belief that everyday infrastructure—from anthropomorphized electrical outlets to repurposed NYC taxi tops—can act as a surrogate for psychological states of neurosis and anxiety.
